This is one of my favorite Halloween recipes because these Witches' Fingers just look so cool.
Made with Mozzarella string cheese, cream cheese, and slivered almonds, the ingredients don't necessarily fit well together. But kids do love string cheese and you can consider the other ingredients to be a garnish, like the bugs and spiders.
Witches' Fingers Ingredients
To make our Witches' Fingers, you will need:
- one package of Mozzarella string cheese
- one package of slivered almonds
- a few teaspoons of cream cheese
- various plastic spiders and bugs are optional, but offer a nice decorative Halloween look
Preparation
- Toast the slivered almonds in the oven at 325 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown
- Cut each piece of cheese in half to make two 'fingers'
- Carve out small wedges of cheese to make the knuckles and a small area where the fingernails will go
- Place a small amount of cream cheese into the depressions you created at the end of the fingers and place your toasted almond fingernails into place as pictured above
