Since the introduction of the Palm Pilot, it has become useful to persons in many different fields, especially to those of us in the medical profession. The programs that I have found the most useful in my work as a Pediatrician are JFile, TealInfo and MathPad. I have created many reference databases with JFile and also use this program to track my patients. TealInfo is a great utility to keep track of data and helping to make your Pilot a medical reference tool. MathPad is useful in doing common medical calculations, including calculating a patient's fluid requirements, anion gap, A-a gradient, etc... It is also easy to figure out a drug's dose for a patient and to calculate drips of cardiovascular drugs with these equations for MathPad.

Some of my newer TealInfo database files will be distributed as shareware. I have spent a lot of time on these and think that they are worth the small fee. They can be purchased at Palm Gear H.Q..

The rest of these files are distributed as Ego-Ware, which means that if you like them and find them useful then I ask that you e-mail me and tell me so. I would also appreciate tips you may have on improving these files.

These files are distributed for educational purposes only. You should verify that they provide correct information and calculations before you incorporate them into the care of your patients. I assume no responsibility for problems that may occur with their use. Also, you may not distribute modified copies of these files.

My programs are compressed in the zip format. If you are using Windows, you will need a program such as WinZip, WinZip Self Extractor or Aladdin Expander (freeware) to uncompress them. Macintosh users can use ZipIT or Stuffit Expander (freeware).

You will also need the databases corresponding application. Links to the latest versions are included below:
